Sunday morning flow
What happens on a usual Sunday morning? It can be busy, but all the pieces come together every week.
NOTE: Red font indicates something new. 9:30 - 9:45 Preparation for RE Please arrive early when you are teaching. The time depends on what you need to do to set up-- at latest by 9:45. Even if you have no specific activity assigned to you, it is appreciated if you check downstairs before the worship service begins to see if anyone else can use some help. 9:30 Little Lights opens If you are preparing for teaching and your own children need supervision while you are doing this, you may take them to Little Lights, regardless of their age, just for this short early time period before the service. 10:00 Worship Service begins 10:20 (approximately) Children go to RE This happens after the Time for All Ages. One RE teacher for each group should leave ahead of the children in order to be in the room before the children enter. This will aid in getting a smooth start to the program. Entering RE Rooms
It can go a few minutes beyond this time, but please not earlier. Leaving RE rooms
We are, however, trying to encourage a "it takes a village" approach during social hour in regards to children's actions and behavior. |
When there is Children's Chapel

- Children in Little Lights who are not ready to sit in Chapel can be downstairs in the Little Lights room with the childcare providers.
- Parents are welcome.
- Chapel usually ends around 10:25. One RE teacher should go downstairs ahead of the children to be in the large room.
- Children do not need to sign in for One Room RE's. The DLRE will take attendance.
- RE ends at the usual time of 11:15.
- An RE teacher accompanies children (age 5 - 5th grade) upstairs if their parents do not pick them up downstairs.
